Wait is now over with 7th pay commission

The long wait of the central government employees ended last month when they received their much awaited hike along with July’s salary, as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. However, some anomalies still remain to be resolved.

The Committee of Secretaries which was appointed by the central government to look into such anomalies in allowances of the beneficiaries is set to hold its second meeting on September 1, 2016, said an official notification by the Ministry of Finance. Not only this, the government has also invited representatives of the  National Joint Council of Action to get a first-hand view of the employees’ demands.

The central government letter, addressed to Shiva Gopal Mishra who is the Secretary of National Council (Staff Side), said that the government wants the employees’ views on the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. “I am directed to inform that the 2nd Meeting of the Committee on Allowances will be held on 01st September, 2016 at 3.00 PM in Room No.72, North Block, New Delhi under the Chairmanship of Finance Secretary & Secretary (Expenditure)”, read the letter.

It further adds, “I am further directed to inform that the Committee on Allowances has desired to meet the representatives of the National Joint Council of Action (NJCA) in the aforesaid meeting to obtain their views on the recommendations of 7th Central Pay Commission relating to allowances.”
