"Government that tried to levy taxation system could never returned to power again": Shivsena

Most of the states now ratified the GST bill and it will come into existence as the remaining country will also ratify it. The Maharashtra legislature unanimously ratify the GST ( goods and Service Tax ) bill. Shivsena said the government that tried to levy taxation system, government that imposed GST will never returned to power again.

BMC ( Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation ) is suffer from Rs 7000-8000 crore loss in revenue which will be fatal for the Mumbai city to be financially balance, which generates the maximum revenue for the country, will become dependent on the centre for money, it said.

The sena questioned whether imposing GST was "another attempt" to make Mumbai "financially dependent on centre". This will not be ok by just some mere words  as CM has assured that there will be no revenue loss to BMC as well as to the Mumbai city. As far as mumbai is concerned, we have to be extra careful, it said.

Government on monday unanimously ratified the GST constitutional amendment bill which was already passed in the legislature assembly.
